flora
that is hidden under the canopy and among the thick moss of
dark forests is often overlooked and stepped over, but is sometimes
the most exotic in form and color. the alluring shape of a pistil
and a sliver of enticing color on the inside of a petal are
whispers of secretive pleasures that take a second glance to
notice. some of these minute delights are visible only when
the morning sun cuts through the forest, making petals translucent.
the human eye doesn't notice the slow wrapping of a spindle
vine as it creeps toward sunlight.
